CRACR Blueprint Reflective Journal
The CRACR Blueprint Reflective Journal
A Practical Companion to The Chaos to Calm Classroom
Teaching is one of the most rewarding professions in the world, but it can also be one of the most emotionally demanding. Behaviour challenges, constant decision-making, and the pressure to respond well in every moment can leave even the most committed teachers feeling overwhelmed.
The CRACR Blueprint Reflective Journal has been designed as a practical companion to The Chaos to Calm Classroom. It provides educators with a structured space to pause, reflect, and intentionally strengthen their approach to behaviour leadership in the classroom.
Grounded in the CRACR framework — Caring, Rapport Building, Applying Boundaries and Consequences, and Reflection — this journal guides teachers through the deeper work of understanding both student behaviour and their own responses to it.
Rather than offering more strategies to memorise, this journal focuses on helping educators develop the habits of reflective practice that lead to lasting change.
Throughout these pages you will find opportunities to:
• Reflect on your beliefs and past experiences with behaviour and consequences
• Analyse real classroom situations and identify the function behind behaviour
• Strengthen relationships with students through intentional connection
• Clarify boundaries and apply consequences calmly and consistently
• Recognise patterns in your responses and adjust them over timeThe journal also includes calming colouring pages designed to support emotional regulation and reflective thinking. When teachers pause to regulate their own nervous system, they are better able to respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively.
This journal is not about perfection. It is about progress.
Calm classrooms are not built through control or quick fixes. They are built through consistent, thoughtful leadership - moment by moment, day by day.
By engaging with the reflections and activities in this journal, you are strengthening the roots of your practice and developing the confidence to lead behaviour with clarity, care, and consistency.
Because when teachers grow, classrooms change.
And when classrooms change, students thrive.
